Medanta signs agreement to manage a 750-bed specialty hospital in Delhi.

Global Health has announced a strategic partnership with the Dr. Narayan Dutt Shrimali Foundation International Charitable Trust Society to operate a 750-bed super-specialty hospital in Pitampura, New Delhi. Under an Operations and Management Agreement, Medanta will oversee and manage the facility, which is expected to open within approximately four years pending regulatory approvals.

The Dr. Narayan Dutt Shrimali Foundation will handle the development of the hospital's structure, while Medanta is set to invest around Rs 600 crore in interior fit-outs, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, as well as medical equipment and furnishings. This funding will be supported by a mix of internal accruals and debt. Medanta will also have full operational control, with an initial agreement term of 30 years, extendable upon mutual agreement.

Situated on a 7-acre site with a 7.6 lakh sq. ft. built-up area, excluding the basement, the hospital will be conveniently accessible from the Outer Ring Road and nearby residential areas, ensuring it meets the healthcare demands of the region. With a focus on over 30 specialties, the hospital will offer advanced care across fields such as cardiology, neurosciences, cancer treatment, orthopedics, digestive and hepatobiliary sciences, as well as multispecialty robotic surgeries and transplants.

Highlighting the significance of the project, Medanta’s team noted, “This collaboration with the Shrimali Foundation will allow us to bring world-class healthcare closer to communities in New Delhi, addressing critical medical needs with cutting-edge facilities.”
