SPARSH Hospital and GE HealthCare join forces to leverage AI for advancements in Oncology, Cardiology, and Neurology. This collaboration focuses on improving precision and efficiency in medical interventions through joint research and development.

The SPARSH Group of Hospitals has inked a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GE HealthCare to propel technological advancements in clinical care, particularly focusing on oncology, cardiology, and neurology through the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

This collaborative effort aims to harness the potential of AI in healthcare, enhancing precision and efficiency in medical interventions.

Under the MoU, SPARSH Hospital and GE HealthCare will engage in joint clinical research and academic activities, contributing to the growth and knowledge of critical care areas while addressing complex healthcare challenges prevalent in the country.

Dr. Sharan Shivraj Patil, Chairman and Chief Orthopaedic Surgeon at SPARSH Hospital, expressed satisfaction about the collaboration, stating, “We are glad that SPARSH and GE HealthCare are collaborating to advance healthcare infrastructure in the state. This tie-up assumes significance with technology playing a significant role in medical care. I believe that new technologies, especially digital tools and AI, make medical interventions, diagnoses, and treatments more precise, enabling us to scale services beyond confined geographies.”

The collaboration is set to integrate advanced clinical and academic research, aggregated data, and AI, bringing about transformative changes in patient care.

Girish Raghavan, VP – Engineering, GE HealthCare South Asia, emphasized the importance of such partnerships, stating, “Our collaboration with SPARSH Hospitals is testimony to our commitment to enhancing the patient care continuum with precision-led, AI-enabled digital solutions.”
Raghavan further highlighted the role of Precision Care in clinical decision-making and matching patients to highly targeted therapies based on individual profiles. He underlined the critical nature of such collaborations in alignment with the government’s focus on strengthening the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, making healthcare more accessible and seamless through the power of digital technology.
