Paras Healthcare has inaugurated a cutting-edge radiation oncology center at its Ranchi facility, aiming to close the healthcare access gap in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. With this launch, Paras Hospital in Ranchi becomes one of the few centers in Jharkhand to offer complete oncology services—from early detection and medical management to surgical and now, advanced radiotherapy treatments.

This development holds major significance for the region, particularly in light of rising cancer cases. According to ICMR-NCRP data provided by the Ministry of Health, Jharkhand witnessed an increase in estimated cancer cases from 33,961 in 2020 to 35,860 in 2022.

The facility features the Varian Halcyon system, a state-of-the-art radiotherapy platform known for delivering highly precise cancer treatments. It enhances the patient experience through faster sessions, improved imaging, and globally compliant safety measures.

In addition to technology-driven treatment, the center offers multidisciplinary tumour board reviews, personalized care plans, and survivorship support. Paras Healthcare also prioritizes community well-being through free screening camps, awareness drives, and consultation initiatives that emphasize early diagnosis and prevention—key factors in improving cancer prognosis and patient outcomes.
