M|O|C Cancer Care & Research Centre secures ₹157 Crore to enhance cancer treatment accessibility, expand operations, and develop advanced oncology services.

M|O|C Cancer Care & Research Centre has raised ₹157 Crore in growth capital, led by Elevation Capital, to further expand its reach and services. Established in 2018 by Dr. Ashish Joshi, Dr. Kshitij Joshi, Dr. Pritam Kalaskar, and Dr. Vashishth Maniar, M|O|C aims to bridge critical gaps in cancer care by providing affordable and accessible treatment.
Over the past seven years, M|O|C has treated over 4.5 lakh cancer patients across its 24 centres in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh, supported by a team of 47 oncologists. In 2023, the organization secured ₹87 Crore from Tata Capital Healthcare Fund to enhance its operations and technology.
India reports 15 lakh new cancer cases annually, yet the country’s healthcare infrastructure struggles to provide adequate care. High costs, long travel distances, and limited facilities create significant barriers, particularly for those seeking quality treatment. M|O|C addresses these issues through cost-effective, community-based cancer centres, reducing expenses by 20-30% while offering comprehensive care, including nutrition guidance, physiotherapy, and genetic counselling.
In May 2024, M|O|C expanded into Gujarat through a merger with Hemato Oncology Clinic (HOC). The organization plans to expand its presence in Delhi NCR and other regions while developing a molecular oncology lab and preventive oncology services to enhance cancer diagnostics and treatment.
