Lytus Technologies acquires Blod.in, investing ₹1000 crore to revolutionize blood logistics with AI, expand nationwide, and enter global markets. The move promises smarter inventory, improved patient care, and a connected health ecosystem.

Lytus Technologies has finalized its acquisition of Blod.in, a Chennai-based AI-powered platform specializing in on-demand blood component management and logistics. This move aims to enhance healthcare efficiency by ensuring faster access to vital blood products and optimizing inventory through advanced AI and machine learning technologies.
Blod.in has experienced impressive growth over the past year, expanding its hospital network from 30 to 140, with a 20% month-on-month increase. The company now plans to extend services to over 100 additional hospitals and 15+ blood banks, targeting cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. Looking ahead, Blod.in also envisions global expansion into markets such as the U.S. and UAE to streamline blood availability and reduce wastage.
To support this growth, Lytus Technologies has committed ₹1000 crore over the next three years, targeting both organic and inorganic expansion, while advancing AI-led innovation. A key part of this investment will enhance Blod.in’s AI engine, which enables intelligent inventory forecasting, real-time supply-demand mapping, and efficient last-mile delivery of temperature-sensitive blood components.
Lytus CEO Dharmesh Pandya emphasized the strategic role of AI in revolutionizing medical logistics, aiming to improve healthcare access and patient outcomes. COO Sai Guna Ranjan Puranam added that their mission goes beyond building a digital platform—they are creating a connected ecosystem of healthcare providers driven by precision, trust, and a commitment to saving lives through technology.
