MSD and HealthQuad invest in ekincare to boost tech-enabled, preventive healthcare through AI, data analytics, and OPD expansion in India.

ekincare, an AI-driven digital health platform, has secured a strategic investment led by MSD IDEA Studio Asia Pacific, a venture initiative under the MSD Global Health Innovation Fund. The funding round also saw continued support from existing investor HealthQuad, a healthcare-focused venture capital firm. Since its inception in 2015, ekincare has raised a total of $22 million.

This latest investment will help ekincare scale its mission of transforming corporate primary and preventive healthcare in India through personalised, AI-powered outpatient solutions. By harnessing AI, data analytics, and telemedicine, the platform aims to make preventive healthcare more proactive, accessible, and tailored to individual needs.

Kiran Kalakuntla, Co-founder and CEO of ekincare, highlighted the growing demand for preventive care amidst the rise in lifestyle diseases. He emphasized how the collaboration with MSD and HealthQuad will enable the company to expand its reach and deliver seamless, personalised healthcare experiences to millions.

With the fresh capital, ekincare plans to grow its cashless OPD network and enhance its AI-based analytics for improved chronic disease management, preventive care, and employee wellness initiatives.

MSD Asia Pacific’s Head of Digital, Saumick Pal, expressed confidence in ekincare’s potential to lead the shift toward tech-enabled, preventive healthcare in India. HealthQuad Partner Ajay Mahipal reinforced this vision, noting that ekincare is at the forefront of digital health innovation, promoting greater access to affordable and quality care.
