Mumbai-based consumer medical company, Arcatron Mobility, has successfully raised growth capital from OrbiMed, a leading global healthcare-focused investment firm.

In addition to OrbiMed, existing investors, including BL Taparia Family Office, Chona Family Office, MGA Ventures, and the founders of Arcatron, actively participated in the funding round.

The fresh capital infusion is earmarked for strategic initiatives, primarily focused on intensifying research and development (R&D) efforts, introducing new products to their portfolio, and enhancing branding and marketing activities.

Arcatron's flagship brand, "Frido," specializes in providing mobility assist devices such as wheelchairs tailored for patients with limited mobility, orthopaedic insoles, and ergonomic cushions designed to offer pain relief and enhance comfort.

Ganesh Sonawane and Arif Khan, co-founders of Arcatron, express their enthusiasm for this significant investment, viewing it as a catalyst for the company's expansion in product development and market reach.
