Alkem Laboratories expands Reliever Free India initiative to educate about asthma management. Join in raising awareness for better health outcomes.

Alkem Laboratories (Alkem) has announced the expansion of its Reliever Free India initiative, aiming to host up to 700 camps across India in collaboration with nearly 100 hospitals in tier-1 and tier-2 cities. Launched in 2023, the campaign seeks to shift the focus from reliever medications to controller medications in the management of asthma.

Despite medical advancements, asthma remains a significant challenge, affecting 26.20 crore people globally. Alkem Laboratories recognizes the importance of education in effective asthma management and aims to raise awareness among patients in India through these camps.

A spokesperson from Alkem stated, "Since the inception of our campaign, we have actively engaged with over 500 camps. This year, we plan to organize a minimum of 600 camps and clinics to educate individuals about asthma and its management. Our objective is to empower patients with the knowledge necessary to take charge of their health."

The Reliever Free India campaign focuses on educating patients, healthcare professionals, and the public about the advantages of controller medications in preventing asthma symptoms and reducing the reliance on rescue medication. Alkem Laboratories invites everyone to participate in raising awareness, promoting understanding, and empowering individuals with asthma to lead fulfilling lives.
