The Association of Healthcare Providers – India (AHPI), in collaboration with MedLern, recently organized the System Integration Digital Health (SIDH) workshop in Bhopal to accelerate digital adoption in Tier 2 and 3 healthcare settings. Held at Enrise by Sayaji, the event gathered over 150 healthcare executives from more than 80 hospitals and institutions to explore strategies for implementing digital tools like Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), Hospital Management Information Systems (HMIS), and clinical decision-support solutions.

This workshop is part of an initiative led by the Koita Foundation, aiming to empower healthcare providers in smaller cities through digital transformation. The sessions focused on enhancing patient care, boosting operational efficiency, and strengthening institutional capabilities through technology integration.

Dr. Sunil Khetarpal, Director at AHPI, highlighted that the SIDH initiative—developed by Koita Foundation and PwC in association with AHPI—has already trained over 250 professionals from 120+ hospitals across states like Rajasthan, Odisha, Karnataka, and Chhattisgarh. He emphasized the goal of expanding these workshops nationwide, crediting the Bhopal session to support from the AHPI Madhya Pradesh Chapter, MedLern, and MPNHA.

Deepak Sharma, CEO of MedLern, noted the importance of building localized support networks to guide hospitals through their digital journeys. He emphasized that digital readiness and continuous learning are key to transforming patient care and service delivery.

The SIDH workshop also served as a platform for peer learning and collaborative discussion, encouraging leaders to rethink conventional care approaches through a digital lens.
